The idea of creating NDFA emerged in 2008 when a group of individuals from Bari tribes come together to discuse how they can strengthen community groups and increase pubilic participation in defining and solving issues facing the community.These disscussions led to the development of a participatory procuss that enabled the South Sudanes -Canadian Citizans and communities of the Central McDougall / Queen Mary Park and Northest Edmonton to voice their views and concerns about children,youths,aduilts and seniours activities.The group has also came up with the ideas to help their original country ,South Sudan and elswhere in Africa by providing support to built new schools,health care Centres,providing Clean water ,community Centres ,agreculture initiatives ,and support for small business development (Coopratives business).From these endeavors NDFA has formed and continued to develop and evolve.The namw Nyarkenyi came from a homeland village in South Sudan (Lado County).The NDFA was incorporated on May 17,2010 and has target to the greater Edmonton population since 2011.
-The Nyarkenyi objective is” to improve citizan lives and the communities in which they live through the provision of pubilic education and other initatives to enable individuals to enhance their lives.”
